National Farmer's Day
It’s National Farmers Day and we want to say thank you to all the farmers and ranchers who make the world a better place.
The farming profession began over 12,000 years ago. Hunters/gatherers began to settle down and plant their own food and domesticate livestock. In 1934, Farmer’s Markets began in Los Angeles as a way for farmers to sell their agriculture fresh to local customers. Today, there are two million farms in the United States. Thanks to those farms and the hard working farmers, we can shop and eat delicious fresh herbs, produce, meat and more all year round.
Storing and keeping your herbs, produce, and meat is easy with Zip Top. Store your fresh herbs and veggies in an airtight Zip Top to keep them fresh longer. Since Zip Tops are freezer safe, you can even store your meat in the freezer.
Thank a local farmer you know and let them know how much you appreciate all their hard work keeping food on our tables.
Happy Farmer’s Day!
