Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal
With the cooler temperatures finally arriving in Austin, Texas, we've been craving lots of comfort foods, including a classic bowl of oatmeal. What we love about oatmeal is how versatile it is and can be customized with toppings. If you're in need of some inspiration, try this recipe by Loli Alliati that makes a quick and easy oatmeal that tastes just like banana bread!
1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats
1 1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 mashed banana
1/2 banana slices
1/2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 Tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes
1 tsp hemp seeds
- Add the coconut milk and oats to a small pot. Cook over medium heat and stir frequently. Add the cinnamon powder and stir.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and mix in the mashed banana.
- To serve, pour the oatmeal into your Zip Top dish and top with banana slices, peanut butter, coconut flakes and hemp seeds. Enjoy!
